Our teachers, Our leaders!

Take a second and look around you. Look in the books of history. You’ll find great men and women. People who changed the world for the better. People of character. People of true values. People of nobility. People from different races, and cultures. With only one thing in common.

Their sheer respect for their mentors and teachers.

On the 4th of October, 2022, the students of Beacon Light Academy paid tribute to their teachers and presented speeches and poetries, recognizing their hard work and efforts during the morning assembly. They shared how the unyielding efforts of their teachers have helped them in not just overcoming crazy math concepts, but in becoming more resourceful humans.

The management presented each teacher with a token of appreciation for their efforts, and everything that they do for their students. I mean, seriously, I remember that one time in 6th grade when our literature teacher had to leave due to an emergency, asking me to take charge of the class. The students were going insane, and I could do nothing except for screaming at the top of my lungs and bang the duster on the table. I wonder how our teachers do it!

Souvenir was given to the teachers.

Do you ever ponder, how they have this miraculous mind that solves every algebraic equation and clears every biological concept? It’s like they have a superpower. Do you remember how our pre-primary teachers had this enthusiastic way of storytelling that teleported us into another world? Or How our Urdu teachers made every story and every piece of poetry into an interesting play?

Our teachers have somewhere, somehow made a very big difference in our lives. In hidden, yet evident ways. It might be in making you sit on the front bench so you would try speaking up. It might be in making you participate in a play to boost your confidence. There are so many ways our teachers guide us, but we don’t get it. We won’t get it today or tomorrow.

But maybe someday. Maybe someday when we’re sitting in an armchair, sipping on a steaming cup of coffee, thinking about the successful life we’ve lived. Maybe then we’d realize how our teachers have inspired, influenced, and shaped us into the person we’re today.

Maybe someday!

“BLA made me feel so special as a teacher when I opened my souvenir. I knew that my school management spent time, effort, and energy to make sure it was awesome, and it was just that.
This thank you note does not do any justice for the beautiful gift on teacher’s day. I absolutely love it.
I cannot wait to show off this sweet present in my circle.
Thank you Ma’am Yasmin Qazi for the time and effort you put to make teacher’s day more special.
” ~ Quoted by one of our senior teacher.
