College Review Series: Cedar College

Review by: Suha Maher

Batch: 2017-2018

“Okay so I’m doing my A-Levels from Cedar College, with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths as my subjects. My life at Cedar has been amazing.”

Faculty:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“All the teachers are well-experienced and know their subject really really well.

As long as the faculty is concerned, Cedar gives you an environment where you are given all kinds of different opportunities to learn. The teachers are always willing to help you and guide you, be it in terms of studies or career advice.

Moreover, Cedar has recently launched it’s peer tutoring programme, where students teach students. And being a peer tutor myself, I must say the programme has a lot of perks to it.”

Facilities:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“We have all sorts of societies at Cedar. Science, debate, cooking, singing, literary, business, dance, community service, dramatics and a lot more. There’s a society for pretty much everything in Cedar.

The college counsellors do a great job. They guide you through your university applications and open to you new options that you might not have considered otherwise.

What is less popular about Cedar is the Cedar ka Dhaba. I’ve seen a lot of college canteens and I must say, Cedar’s food is the best. A few of my favourites are chicken tikka, chicken cheese paratha, garlic roll, and shawarma. Might sound extra, but when you have to stay in college from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, good food is a necessity.”

“Cedar pays a lot of attention towards sports. They make sure that every sport facility is available, as along with studies, sports is also considered as an essential element in students’ growth,” she mentioned.

“We also brought the Alpha Sports fest trophy home recently.”

Location:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The college is located in Clifton. A bit far but for me, it’s worth it.”

On asking “Isn’t Clifton too far” she replied, “It doesn’t feel so!”
