Sir Qazi and His Inculcated Foundations

I woke up with a jolt in my dimly lit room, I could hear my heart pounding in the silent room and upon waking up, my brain replayed the last few scenes of my dream.
It was him, I heard him, I saw him and my eyes instantly wracked with an onslaught of sobs and tears.

Maybe the events of the past day had caused this dream, but it felt so overwhelming to see him again, even if it was a dream.
His words were whispering in my brain again and again ,

“میں اکیلا ہی چلا تھا جانب منزل مگر
لوگ ساتھ آتے گئے اور کارواں بنتا گیا”

And at that very moment I felt so proud to call myself a student of his school, I felt so proud to call myself a BLAian.

It was the evening of Nov 24th, we were sitting in the front row of an opening ceremony of an event. With around almost 1000 people in the same place when the sound of “الله اكبر ” struck our ears. It kept going

حي على الصلاة

نماز کی طرف جلدی کرو……

حي على الفلاح

کامیابی کی طرف جلدی آؤ…..

The Azan soon finished. Sitting next to me, was Ms Ikrah, who stood up and went to inquire about the prayer area along with Ms Andaleeb. They came back in a minute or two, upon asking they replied ” They’re saying they’ll tell us in a while”, a minute passed, kids of grade X who were sitting right behind us started asking the teachers about the prayer area, one of them asked ” Ms hm Yahan parhlen samne”, as soon as it came out of his mouth, Ms Ikrah wholeheartedly told them to do it!

And then, what I and thousandths of other people witnessed was something mind-blowing. A group of students, standing right next to the stage, in front of the crowd of so many people, starting to pray Namaz, just like Sir Qazi laid the foundation of Beacon Light Academy.

And at that very moment, his words raced through my brain, the words I had heard in all his speeches,

“میں اکیلا ہی چلا تھا جانب منزل مگر
لوگ ساتھ آتے گئے اور کارواں بنتا گیا”

He used to tell us how he dreamt of Beacon Light Academy, how he brought his dream to reality and how people kept joining him on his Mission. How he had always wanted to provide affordable education to all and how Allah helped him in his mission.

3 or 4 minutes later, the congregation increased. Students of different schools started joining, exactly like people joined Sir Qazi on his Mission.

Another sixty seconds later, the crowd increased more in number, as other students joined, the area started getting more and more accumulated while Daniyal Sami continued leading the prayers.

It was now getting difficult for the management of the event to tackle that area, hence as soon as the students did Salaam to the left, an announcement was made saying ” The prayer setup has been arranged in the library, all of you are requested to move towards the library .”

It felt so good! It felt so beautiful! He had inculcated this in us, in our brains and now it’s our duty to instil this in the coming generations.

I have never seen a man like Sir Sanaullah Qazi in the seventeen years of my life, I have only met him two or three times personally but he has and will always have an impact on my life.
I still remember meeting him for the first time ever when I cracked my admission test in Beacon Light Academy. He was a kind and loving man. I also remember requesting him for an extra holiday on school’s silver jubilee talent show back in kindergarten, he was a man one of a kind who celebrated life so enthusiastically. Sir Kazi was truly an inspiration, and no one would ever be able to fill in for him.

May Allah give me and all his students the courage and ability to continue his mission, spread his vision and make things better for the society at large. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah.

Ameen.
