Sanitation, Cleanliness, and Much More

Sanitation means the process of keeping places clean and healthy, especially by providing a sewage system and a clean water supply. It’s the state of being clean and conducive to health. To spread awareness and inform about the problems of sanitation and its solutions, the presentation on ” Sanitation Awareness Campaign”, was held at the auditorium. A warm welcome to the audience was given by Omair Ahmed, president of GCC ( Global Citizens Community). The presentation was then proceeded by Sohail Khan and Abdul Sami who gave an introduction to the topic and briefed about the community action project.

Afterward, Rameesha Adnan told us about the Global issue of sanitation. Shanessa Fawad, then told us about the proper way to wash hands, Saim and Rameesha also informed us about the differences between organic and inorganic waste and their management. Arsheen Atif then told us several ways in which one can prevent themselves from the ongoing Corona Virus. The problem of clean drinking water is one of the major issues that we face, Izn Abbas discussed this very main issue. Hamna And Zainab also informed the audience about the importance of sanitation.

To conclude the presentation, Ayesha Mansoor apprised everyone about our sanitation awareness campaign, in which we’ll be carrying out different activities to improve the level of sanitation in our community such as the plantation drive, WASH program in the primary section, recycling activity, and DIY compost making. Then a video was shown to the audience about DIY COMPOST MAKING, which is the main part of our project and the students of Global Citizenship would themselves be doing too Another video on recycling plastic waste bags was also shown, and we encourage the viewers to promote recycling. In the end, our very own, Ms. Mudassir Bhutta, the teacher of Global Citizenship delivered a very important message regarding the disposal of masks and not being careful about it.
