Pre-text: Arts is a wide range of designs amalgamated together and used on daily basis to compliment the beautiful structure of nature.

Sketching had been widely known and used throughout the Middle Ages; let’s see what it is like to sketch in the 21st century.

How would you define your passion for sketching?

If I talk about sketching, it’s mostly a leisure time activity for me. When I am free, I use that time to sketch. I feel quite different while sketching as if the tangled thoughts in my mind are clearing away with every scribble of line on the paper.

What inspired you to get along with sketching?

I do recall the first time I bought a scrapbook, it was the moment I realized that the switch from drawing to sketching is worth my efforts. It’s entirely amazing once you start portraying your mind through sketching. So on and so forth I continued it as a hobby and in grade 11 I started showing it to my friends. Their amusement encouraged me not to halt.

Which type or themes do you prefer to sketch and why?

Well, I prefer sketching non-living or animated characters, supposedly fictional ones over non-fiction. After watching Trolls movie, However, I can also get along with real personalities or objects pretty well.

More like a combination of both?

         Yes, you’re right.

In your opinion, do you think sketching could only be done by artists but not ordinary people?

I think everyone can sketch. It just depends on your level of interest in it. On a higher level, it also depends on one’s capability. Otherwise one can do it as a part-time activity like me.

What if sketching was a necessity, how would you define it then?

Necessity as in you must have to have a degree in it? Well, I don’t want it to be that way then. Plus I would discourage compulsion in any field; one must go for what he\she is passionate about.

Which is the best thing about sketching that you like the most?

Honestly, completing the sketches is a whole different story! The satisfaction I get after it matches none.

Would you pursue sketching for career development in the future?

Since it’s a leisure time activity, I just want to enjoy it as a hobby. However, as someone who likes arts, “maybe” I would rather pursue it by opting for fine arts in the future.

What kind of difficulties have you ever faced while practicing sketching?

Like I told before, completing sketches at times is quite challenging since it requires time and dedication but the output is worth it.

You are asked to encourage people regarding sketching to be a part of our lives, which points would you consider mentioning?

Grab a pencil and a piece of paper and simply do it. Enjoy its spirit, and live that moment actually. You don’t have to be good at it to actually start sketching something. You will see that as your best as long as you enjoy it.
